Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Conversions Media Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), operator of Halo Protected, collects, uses, shares and protects information about you. Please read it together with our Terms of Use. By using this website or submitting a quote request, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

Conversions Media Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 9536047), with a registered office at 11 Sanderling Court, London, SE8 5TE. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@haloprotected.com or write to us at the address above.

2. What this website is

We are a marketing lead generator. We are not an insurance company, agency, broker, or producer, and we do not sell, solicit, negotiate, or bind insurance policies. We collect information you provide about your home and your contact details, and we share that information with insurance companies, agents, brokers, and lead marketplaces (together, “Partners”) so they can contact you with quotes and offers. We may be paid by those Partners when we share your information with them.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us through our quote form:

  • Property details — ZIP code, property type, approximate square footage, property age, occupancy, construction type, roof condition, presence of a swimming pool, and prior claims history
  • Coverage details — your current insurer (if any) and when you want coverage to start
  • Contact and identity details — first and last name, property street address, city, state, ZIP code, email address, and telephone number

Information collected automatically when you use the site:

  • IP address, browser type and user agent, and the page you submitted from
  • Marketing attribution parameters in the URL (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and publisher sub-IDs)
  • Consent metadata, including the date and time of your submission and the exact disclosure text displayed to you
  • A TrustedForm certificate created by ActiveProspect, LLC, which independently records your interaction with our form as evidence of the consent you provided

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's licence numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or precise geolocation. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

4. How we use your information

  • To match your request with Partners who may provide insurance quotes and to transmit your information to them
  • To contact you — by phone, SMS, email or automated technology — about insurance quotes and related offers, in accordance with the consent you provided
  • To verify, validate and improve lead quality, including checking that a ZIP code or address is valid
  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate or invalid submissions
  • To maintain records of consent and comply with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations
  • To analyse and improve our website, marketing and services

5. Legal bases for processing (UK/EU GDPR)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for sharing your details with Partners for marketing purposes and for marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 9).
  • Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, security, service improvement and business administration, balanced against your rights and interests.
  • Legal obligation — for retaining consent records and responding to lawful requests.

6. How we share your information — and that this is a “sale”

We share the information you submit, including your name, address, email address and telephone number, with our Partners, and we are typically paid for doing so. Under certain US state privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA — this sharing is considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You have the right to opt out at any time; see Do Not Sell or Share My Information.

A current list of the categories of Partners we share information with is available on our Marketing Partners page. Once your information has been shared with a Partner, that Partner's own privacy policy governs how it uses your information, and you will need to contact that Partner directly to exercise your rights against them.

We also share information with:

  • Service providers who host our website, store our data, validate addresses, and record consent certificates, acting on our instructions
  • Professional advisers, regulators and law enforcement where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims
  • A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets

We do not share your information with anyone for their own independent advertising purposes beyond the arrangements described above.

7. International transfers

We are established in the United Kingdom and the Partners we share information with are located in the United States. Where personal information is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or your explicit consent to the transfer.

8. How long we keep your information

We retain lead records, including consent records and TrustedForm certificates, for 5 years from the date of submission. We keep consent records for at least this period because telemarketing rules and the limitation periods for related claims require us to be able to evidence the consent you gave. Where you ask us to suppress or delete your information, we retain the minimum record necessary to honour that request.

9. Your rights

If you are in the United States, depending on your state you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Use our opt-out form or email privacy@haloprotected.com. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf.

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

We will respond to verifiable requests within the time limits required by applicable law — generally 45 days in the United States and one month in the UK.

10. Marketing communications and opt-out

You can stop marketing communications from us at any time: reply STOP to any text message, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the details above. Opting out of communications from us does not automatically opt you out of communications from Partners who have already received your information — you must contact those Partners directly, and you can also register with the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.

11. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the website, together with analytics and advertising technologies that help us understand how visitors use the site and measure the performance of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and restricted administrative access to our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and material changes will be notified more prominently where required by law. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
